Meet the founder, Wizz Selvey

Hi, I’m Wizz, I am here to help your business stand out from the crowd, increase profits and scale more quickly.

I am former Head of Buying at Selfridges, and Director at Cowshed Beauty and Soho Home.

18 years in the retail industry means I’m in the unique position to have worked with thousands of brands and retail businesses. Put simply, I know what works. I love helping business leaders combine innovation, creativity and commerciality to get results.

I have an instinct for trends, how to build a disruptive brand and an expert on customer behaviour. Many years spent as leading buying teams meant I was forecasting and planning how to exceed customers expectations. I combined creative vision and commercial trading to deliver double-digit growth year-on-year.

I have been voted top retail expert two years in a row, speak internationally and a regular contributor to trade and mainstream media. Featured in WGSN, Retail Gazette, Draper’s, City AM, Cosmetics Business, Beauty Independent, Metro, The Telegraph, Daily Mail and The Guardian to name a few.

I’m known for my straight-talking but kind manner, which is why you’ll find me as a speaker at events and corporate team days. I am regularly published in the press sharing my knowledge and advising investors and management consultants on market trends.

This has been cultivated by over 18 years of extensive industry experience. I’ve worked with thousands of brands, put simply I know what works and want to share my knowledge. It’s my mission to enable as many business leaders as possible to be armed with the knowledge to make the changes in their business that will make the biggest impact.

I have developed online education so more brands can learn how to build a brand and how to pitch to retailers. This enables more people to access strategies in their own time or alongside 1:1 mentoring.

Pro-bono work for not-for-profit brands

Each year WIZZ&CO support a not-for-profit brand to launch with Retailers and scale their business. Having worked with similar brands in the past we are aware of the limitations and difficulties of social enterprise and want to be there to help.

We kindly ask that brands only apply if they are 100% not-for-profit or charity. Non-profit organisations are formed to pursue a goal, not for profit or for any of the proceeds to go to its members or leaders. These organisations don't have commercial owners and must rely on funds from contributions, membership fees, events, and investment income, among other things. Please apply through this form for the next opportunity.
